We are proud to announce that the Emporia State Merit Badge University will be held on Saturday, April 26th hosted by the Prophet Aquatic Research and Outreach Center (PAROC). This exciting new opportunity will feature the opportunity for Scouts to earn the Environmental Science, Fishing, and/or Mammal Study Merit Badges from subject matter experts. Troops will also have the opportunity to campout near PAROC on Saturday evening until Sunday, April 27th. The cost for this event will be $20 including lunch on Saturday.
Adult Leaders will also have the opportunity to join to participate in this event. Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS) and Trainer’s Edge will be hosted in coordination with the merit badge university. Adults participating in the IOLS must camp overnight to receive credit for the course.
Registration will begin on Monday, February 17th and spots will be limited.
