Honoring Young Leaders Shaping Our Community
The Topeka’s Top 20 Under 40 award recognizes outstanding young leaders in the Topeka/Shawnee County community for their professional achievements and personal contributions. On November 13, 2025, the Jayhawk Area Council, Scouting America, and the Topeka’s Top 20 Under 40 Steering Committee will celebrate 20 remarkable professionals who are shaping the future of our community. More than just an awards banquet, this signature fundraising event supports Scouting programs across our 11-county Northeast Kansas region—helping ensure every youth has access to transformative leadership and character-building experiences.
2025 Distinguished Citizen Dinner
Join us for an evening of celebration at the 2025 Distinguished Citizen Banquet, hosted by the Jayhawk Area Council, Scouting America. This year’s honorees, Dr. Tiffany Anderson and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas, are recognized for their remarkable leadership in education and health, making a lasting difference in our community.
2026 Scouting America Golf Classic

The Scouting America Golf Classic continues as a signature event of the Jayhawk Area Council. Proceeds benefit the council’s youth development initiatives across traditional packs, troops, crews, and posts, as well as our outreach programs supporting at-risk youth within our council boundaries.
